Amanda & Adam’s Love Story
October 28, 2008
Love Story Location: St. George & Pine Valley, Utah
We have recently improved the way we film the bridal highlight. This is the first of many of our new way. We are very pleased! Darci & Colby were a joy to work with. My favorite part of the Love Story was filming the hunting scene. I laugh really hard every time I see it.
Bridal Highlight
Filmed at Twentyfive Main Cake Parlor, Downtown Saint George, LDS Tabernacle.
Love Story
This couple was a last minute addition, but worth it. They were both so easy going and even laughed when the Heritage Square Fountain became ‘unpredictable.’ We enjoyed exploring the new Hidden Valley Park with them and I loved the views from Red Cliffs trailhead. It was a film shoot that came together at the last minute, but one that was a joy to participate in.
Most of the locations in this piece hold meaning for this couple (as do most of our film shoots). Pine View is were their story began, so ours did, too. Rob was another groom who was shy at first, but by the time we got to St. George Golf Course you would think he was born in-front of the camera. Look at the footage and see if I’m kidding. It was a hot, sunny day and Mandy got a little sunburned, but Cold Stone helped ease the pain, and the finished product was well worth it.
What a fun, goofy couple. I love it when the grooms are shy at first and by the end are suggesting shots. That’s how Darren was. You could tell they enjoyed mini golf @ Fiesta Fun, and the baseball bit helped loosen him up. But when we found the High Jump mats at Pine View he was choreographing throws and hits like a pro. We especially love the pool section. I knew the idea was gold, but these two took it to the next level. Thanks for being so easy to film!
I just want to give a shout out to these two who gave me my first opportunity to ride go-carts. It was a blast! Fiesta Fun was so accommodating, and we were able to capture these two in their element (although, that slide proved deadly. Hope you feel better Brendan!) It was fun incorporating their personalities into the shoot, one of my favorites is the Mac & Cheese bit.

We had a fabulous intro worked out ala ‘Footloose’, but alas, it didn’t work in the entire concept (but keep your eyes open around the special features). Thanks so much to Dixie Bowl for allowing us to film there, and to the family members who provided precious cameos. Be sure to look for the silent movie portion! We swear, their first kiss really did go like that. Thanks for being so fun and such good cooks!
